BASIC PLOT
When Tohru's single mother passes away of illness, Tohru decides to live on her own in a tent, to save money. Fortunately for her, she ends up camping out in the backyard of the Souma household, and they take her in as a type of housekeeper rather than leave her out in the cold. But as Tohru soon discovers, the Souma clan is no ordinary family; they are the incarnations of the Chinese zodiac, and transform into their respective animals when embraced by a human girl.
