Taketo lives with his older brother and attends high school like any normal kid his age, with one exception: he is obsessed with the legend of Wild Halves, a species of half human, half animals that can transform at will. One day, he meets up with a stray dog, who proceeds to take his lunch and run away. He comes home that night to find the same dog resting comfortably on his bed. To his shock, the dog introduces himself as a Wild Half, named Salsa. He explains that Taketo reminds him of his former master, and decides to live with him. The story itself covers all sorts of topics, but this is its base.
